Amber Schlick,
Program Director
For Amber, hospitality isn’t just a career path—it’s entirely woven into who she is. She grew up in West Palm Beach, immersed in the restaurant industry: Her parents actually met while working at the iconic Charley’s Crab in Palm Beach and spent their entire careers in restaurants. Amber learned early on that true hospitality is built on the details, a philosophy that guides her in business today.
Amber spent nearly a decade in Washington, D.C. working in public education as a Director of Strategy & Policy, helping leaders translate big visions into structured reality. Today, she channels that deep operational expertise into her consulting practice, As the Goose Flies, where she pairs meticulous project management with strategic communication and design.
Part of the Flavor South Florida team since 2022, Amber plays a vital role in the program’s growth and execution. On any given day, she transitions from the logic of managing backend infrastructure, budgets, and contracts to the art of creative storytelling and visual branding. Deeply connected to her hometown, Amber celebrates the area’s incredible dining talent and is dedicated to helping local restaurants thrive.
