Flavor Dine at Oak & Ember
There’s still time to experience an incredible 3-course dinner at Oak & Ember for just $49
If you love good food and live on the Treasure Coast, there’s no doubt you’re familiar with the name Kyle Greene. The restaurateur is a powerhouse on the local foodie scene, the man behind some of the best spots in Martin and St. Lucie counties—including Kyle G’s Prime Seafood & Steaks, Nonna’s, Stuart Fish Grill, Kyle G’s Oyster & Wine Bar, and more.
Kyle G excels at many things, but his steak and seafood are probably what he’s best known for. And one of my personal favorite spots is Oak & Ember, which has two locations in the area (downtown Stuart and Port St. Lucie). The food is top-notch, and I just love the ambience. I typically eat at the Stuart location, which has a really cool fine dining “arthouse” vibe. White linen tablecloths, colorful artwork on the walls, and sexy red leather seating. It kind of feels like you’re dining in a hidden, private club—smack in the middle of downtown Stuart.
If you haven’t yet been, I suggest you snag a reservation in October and take advantage of their special prix fixe Flavor menu before it’s too late. For just $49 a person, you get 3 courses, which include stellar entrees like chili-coffee-rubbed grilled pork tenderloin, beef tenderloin medallions Oscar (with asparagus, lump crab, Yukon mash, and Bearnaise sauce), grilled swordfish with a charred corn tomatillo sauce, and the asada parrillada (marinated 6 oz. sirloin, grilled shrimp, Argentine sausage, crispy potatoes, cilantro salsa verde). Appetizer choices include an iceberg wedge salad, creamy lobster bisque, and chilled gazpacho. And for dessert? Dulce de leche flan, tiramisu, and dark rum-toffee s’mores.
They are also offering specially selected wine pairings from DAOU Vineyards for an added $12 a glass, which include a Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a Red Blend.
What I ate: lobster bisque, beef tenderloin medallions Oscar, and the s’more. Ten out of ten across the board!
