Flavor South Florida officially kicked off Monday—get a peek into the VIP Kickoff Party and find out how you can win $1,000 and more just by EATING!

September is here, and the wait is finally over: 104 of the best local restaurants are ready to welcome you during Flavor South Florida’s Restaurant Month!

Hopefully, you’ve been reading our blog and following us on Instagram (@FlavorSouthFlorida) and already have a good grasp on what’s in store this year. If not, you’re missing out! So many local foodies have been sharing their Flavor “preview” dining experiences on social media over the past few weeks—following along is a great way to see some of the prix fixe menu items for yourself and hear what real people think of them. So get on it!

If you have been following, you may have had your fill of VIP Kickoff Party posts lol. But here’s a recap in case you missed it. A couple of weeks ago, more than 200 food-lovers gathered at The Singer Oceanfront Resort to celebrate Flavor South Florida 2025. If you weren’t there, here’s an insider’s recap of what went down…

After stopping at the entrance to get our pic snapped at the step-and-repeat (photographer Jennifer Sampson), we entered the party space, which was already filled with fabulously dressed ladies and gents buzzing around and sipping cocktails—provided by generous sponsors Weber Ranch Vodka, Munyon’s Paw-Paw, Hampton Water Rosé, El Bandido Yankee Tequila Co., and Revenge Rum. When I spotted a friend sipping from a giant luscious coconut, I knew I had to have one immediately, whatever it was (it was fresh coconut water, and it was SO GOOD).

Singer employees circled around carrying all sorts of tasty bites to snack on, and the resort also set up an incredible buffet or those who wanted to sit down and have a proper dinner— pork, baked beans, and so much more. Plus, there was a special shrimp/corn cob/potato/corn bread concoction from Topsail Steamer, a Golden Goat Caviar bar, and a dessert table filled with all kinds of goodies from Nina’s Fresh Bakery. Nina also made Kerri this surprise sparkling “blow cake” that, well, if you know you know.

We made our way outside—the heavy rain prevented the party from moving to the beach as planned, but we all hung out on the covered outdoor patio instead—and I grabbed a glass of Hampton Water Rosé while I listened to Flavor owner Kerri Paizzi give a heartfelt speech. She was decked out in this cool custom dress made out of menus from participating Flavor restaurants (made by Garbage Gone Glam). Kerri does this every year, wears some outrageously perfect food-centric dress—last year it was made with forks and knives—and I’m here for it!

Bryce Allyn Band was playing, which was awesome, and everyone just noshed, sipped, and mingled. And then… these dancers came out decked out in Polynesian-inspired attire and put on a spectacular show, which included a guy eating fire (party was literally lit). And when it was finally time to head out, of course we left with some very cool swag bags.

Hope you enjoyed the recap and photos from the party. Now, don’t forget to get going on those dinner reservations—because September will be over before you know it. Oh, and if you haven’t heard, there is a contest going on: Eat, Check, Repeat. The more Flavor dines you indulge in, the better your chances of winning some really great prizes.
