Menu Refresh: Pizza and More at The Woods

The Woods celebrates its 10th anniversary with a new chef and an enhanced menu

The Woods, Tiger Woods’ upscale Jupiter eatery in Harbourside Place, has been one of the top spots in the area to eat and be seen since it opened 10 years ago. As the restaurant heads into its tenth season, they are rolling out a few updates—starting with the chef.

Former sous chef Luis Castaneda, a Le Cordon Bleu graduate from Peru, has been named executive chef. His promotion comes with some changes to the menu, including one big one we definitely didn’t see coming: PIZZA!

The restaurant houses a brand new Marra Forni brick oven pizza that turns out the most perfect Neapolitan-style pies. The “Pizza Station” includes five delicious options: Hot Honey Pepperoni, Prosciutto Bianca, Buffalo Chicken, Margherita, and Mediterranean. (Click here to see the pizza menu with all the details.) The best part is, you can watch the pizzas being made—from scratch—which adds to the experience.

But the menu updates go beyond pizza. Chef Castaneda has also added a few new dishes that reflect his Peruvian descent as well as other global influences. The grilled octopus, with Peruvian yellow pepper sauce, corn, truffle oil, and chimichurri, is a must-try. And the Ōra King salmon—covered in a sweet pea puree and Parmesan velouté sauce and served with orzo, asparagus, and roasted red peppers—is simply wonderful. View the entire menu here.

We recently stopped in to watch the pizza-making in action and sample some of the new items on the menu. Watch Chef creating a Hot Honey Pepperoni pizza, grilled octopus, and more here.
