101 Dines in 30 Days: Can You Handle It?
Everyone’s favorite foodie event is back, and it’s bigger than ever. With 101 restaurants participating this year, up and down the state’s east coast from Boca to Sebastian, Flavor South Florida is officially THE biggest restaurant month in the country!
If you are unfamiliar with how it works, here’s a crash course: During the month of September, each of the participating restaurants creates a special “Flavor menu offered as an incentive for locals to dine out during what is typically the industry’s slowest month of the year. The prix fixe menus typically offer three to five courses (with options, and who doesn’t love options?) at a really great price. So it’s not only a win for the restaurants—it’s a total bonus for local foodies.
No matter what type of cuisine you’re hankering for, there’s likely a restaurant in for you in the mix, from Mediterranean and Italian to steak, seafood, and sushi. Fine dining and Michelin-starred restaurants. Casual “beach town” joints and pubs. Outdoor dining on the water and landmark locations with an Old Florida vibe…
The big question is, can you handle the Flavor? I hear Flavor South Florida is challenging foodies to check off all 101 restaurants before September comes to an end. It’s a tall order to be sure, but hey, I’ll give it my best shot! (Eat out every night at some of the best restaurants around? Twist my arm.)
In the meantime, I’ll be writing more blog posts about Flavor as we close in on September, highlighting some of the standout menu offerings and giving more details about the 101 incredible participating restaurants. So come back and follow along… In the meantime, see the full list of restaurants and link to their Flavor menus here: FlavorSouthFlorida.com
