Coming Up: National Margarita Day!

Salt or no salt, a margarita is one of the most popular traditional cocktails around, especially here in tropical South Florida. In honor of National Margarita Day (February 22), here are 5 spots to indulge in some of the tastiest variations of this classic favorite.

SPICY LYCHEE MARGARITA at Hudson’s on the River in Stuart
Made with Código Blanco tequila, Narano orange liqueur, lychee liqueur, lime juice, and garnished with a lychee fruit and spicy pepper, this cocktail has just the right amount of kick to satisfy your thirst for adventure. Come early on Sunday, February 22, for happy hour and catch the Bryce Allen Duo live from noon to 4 p.m.; stick around for Steve Fredricks 4 to 8 p.m.

THE ISLAND at Henry’s, Palm Beach
Slip on your Sunday best, head over to Henry’s at Via Flagler by The Breakers on Royal Poinciana Way, and order The Island. This delicious mezcal-based cocktail blends mango, lime, and agave and is rimmed with chili salt to keep you on your toes.

WATERMELON MARGARITA at Benny’s on the Beach in Lake Worth Beach
It’s been a long, cold winter, am I right? Now that the temps are finally rising, National Margarita Day is the perfect time to head to Benny’s for some Sunday fun on the pier. Featuring Pantalones Reposado tequila, fresh watermelon purée, orange liqueur, agave, lime, and topped with a spicy jalapeño and a tajín rim, the refreshing Watermelon Margarita is made for seaside sipping.

TAN LINES at The Pearl in Port Salerno
It’s always a good time at The Pearl, with its lively ambience and comfy outdoor seating overlooking Manatee Pocket. The next time you’re there, ask for a Tan Lines, a truly special take on the margarita made with corazon blanco, charred pineapple, lime, and a tajin foam. (You’ll thank us later.) On National Margarita Day, catch live music from Abby Owens from 3 to 6 p.m.

BLOOD ORANGE MARGARITA at El Camino in West Palm Beach
This one’s a bit of a gimme, since El Camino is known for its incredible margaritas (and happy hour!). It is a Mexican restaurant, after all. But among a sea of tequila-infused, salt-rimmed cocktails, the Blood Orange Margarita—a floral sip that blends blanco tequila with hibiscus-infused orange cordial, fresh lime, and agave—truly stands out.
