The Cognizant Classic: Eat Your Way Through PGA
Heading to PGA National for the Cognizant Classic? Here’s your game plan for exploring the resort’s many food and drink options amid all the action.*
*During the Cognizant Classic, February 25 to March 1, restaurants at PGA National will book up well in advance, so be sure to secure lunch or dinner reservations ASAP.
PRE-GAME: BREAKFAST AT BIRDIE’S
Before you head to the fairway for a long day of action, you’re going to need some fuel. Get up early and start things off at Birdie’s Diner, which overlooks the 10th hole. Grab a stool at the retro bar or cozy corner booth and fill up on classic egg dishes, French toast, pancakes, Scottish salmon with a bagel, and more—and don’t forget to take a tasty milkshake or a cup of Joe to go! Opens at 7 a.m. daily.
MID-DAY: LUNCH BREAK AT HONEYBELLE
If you need a break from the crowds and prefer a relaxing, sit-down lunch to on-the-go food options at the big event, dip back into the resort for lunch at Honeybelle. Savor Southern flavors from James Beard nominee Chef Lindsay Autry, like the crispy fried chicken sandwich, plus wood-fired pizzas, hearty salads, and more. Open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Click here for reservations.
POST-GOLF: LIBATIONS AT THE LOBBY BAR
When the day wraps, head to The Lobby Bar, which will be buzzing with amped-up guests eager to keep the party going (with air conditioning) after a hot day in the sun. Enjoy handcrafted cocktails, fine wines, cold beers, and light bites in a convivial atmosphere in the center of everything. Open to the public after 7pm.
SUPPER TIME: DINNER AT THE BUTCHER’S CLUB
Hopefully, you remembered to book at table at The Butcher’s Club, as you’re going to want to fill your belly come 7 or 8 p.m. Savor the incredible cuisine of Michelin-awarded Chef Jeremy Ford—entrées like mouthwatering steaks cooked to perfection, juicy truffle chicken, and Florida grouper Francaise. Open 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Click here to reserve a table.
WIND DOWN: COCKTAILS AT SUSHI BY BOU
If you haven’t yet been here to experience the incomparable omakase 12- or 17-course sushi dinner, definitely do at some point. But it’s also the perfect spot to unwind with a nightcap before heading to your room for some much-needed rest. Peek inside the speakeasy environment—dim lighting, sweetheart lounges, velvet chairs, sexy chandeliers—and you’ll immediately feel the allure to stay for a craft cocktail or two. Open until 10 p.m. daily.
