Classic Comfort

In Tequesta, 718 Café & Grill is the newest gathering place for comfort food and a sense of community

In early January, a new spot opened on U.S. 1 in Tequesta—a café that pays homage to the classic New York diner. 718 Café & Grill is named for the old-school New York City area code, and the food and ambience celebrate the spirit of NYC neighborhoods.

The place is enormous, with 221 indoor seats, a private dining room for up to 60, and an outdoor tiki bar and lounge. And the food? Absolute comfort. Breakfast here includes hearty diner favorites like French toast and omelets, with a few special items thrown into the mix—like the incredible baklava pancakes! The lunch menu offers sandwiches, wraps, paninis, and more, plus classic, creamy milkshakes.

The outdoor tiki lounge is the perfect place to chill after work, with live music and happy hour deals daily from 5 to 8 p.m.—yes, they serve booze! On the lineup in the near future: RJ Preston January 29, Rob Aranth January 31, and Anthony James February 7 and 21. Follow them on Instagram to keep up with the latest schedule (@718cafegrill).

718 is open seven days a week, 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. indoors and until 11 p.m. outdoors.
