On the Waterfront

Head to Tutto Mare in Palm Beach for incredible coastal cuisine on the Intracoastal. The island’s new waterfront restaurant serves up seafood-centric fare in a historic local landmark.

Palm Beach has its share of amazing restaurants that are filled with charm and views of the water (hello, Seafood Bar at The Breakers!). But to dine outside right on the water on the storied island is a rare experience previously only enjoyed by those lucky enough to have a private waterfront residence. Tutto Mare has changed the dining game, featuring alfresco dining with unparalleled proximity to the beautiful Intracoastal Waterway and stunning views of nearby West Palm Beach.

The restaurant is located in the space that once housed the famous Celebrity Room at The Royal Poinciana Playhouse, where glamorous stars like Ginger Rogers, Clark Gable, and the Palm Beach elite would go to dance and dine in the 50s and beyond. Tutto Mare’s owners, Gianpaolo de Felice and Gabby Karan de Felice (Donna Karan’s daughter), made sure the restaurant’s aesthetic preserved the elegance of that time. At the same time, they brought in a casual, welcoming vibe that reflects the easiness of our natural surroundings.

The seafood-centric menu features bold Mediterranean flavors—think branzino (whole Mediterranean sea bass) with fresh farm vegetables, and classic Neapolitan cioppino (seafood stew) with a half lobster, scallops, shrimp, squid, clams and mussels. Non-seafood items include eggplant Parmesan, New York strip, Australian lamb strip loin, and roasted chicken.

Dining outside here feels like you’re floating above the Intracoastal amid the subtle glow of dim, yellow candlelight (and the brighter lights of the city across the water). It’s truly magical—and so worth the wait.
