Weekend Bliss
Plan a mini staycation in Jupiter/Tequesta and explore the area’s amazing nature, food, history, and more
FRIDAY
Book a room at the luxurious The Pointe Hotel and make it your home base haven for the weekend. The waterfront gem is located right next to the Jupiter Pointe Marina, offering incredible views of the Atlantic and Intracoastal—plus easy access to some of the best restaurants and drinking holes around. Bonus: You can arrive by boat and dock your vessel on property for the weekend. Just be sure to all ahead and reserve a boat slip.
Once you’re settled in, grab lunch at the onsite Blue Pointe Bar & Grill. The lively outdoor restaurant offers fresh seafood and more, plus tasty cocktails and live music (they also deliver food straight to your room).
Next up: some fun on the water! Grab a paddleboard or kayak from Pointe Paddle and spent a few hours exploring the tranquil mangroves and aquatic life right at your front door.
Now that you’ve built up an appetite, get yourself showered and changed and head to LILA Coastal Mediterranean for dinner—just a 5-minute drive from the hotel. Enjoy flavorful, Mediterranean-inspired dishes like octopus, chorizo croquettes, lobster, lamb chops, steaks, and salads, plus a signature crudo and sushi bar. They have delicious cocktails too—so arrive early for Social Happy Hour at the bar (5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily).
SATURDAY
Start the day with some relaxing beach time at The Point’s private beach or check out the natural wonder that is Blowing Rocks Preserve. The natural area is named for its rocky Anastasia limestone shoreline, where you can watch in awe as the ocean breaks against the rocks, forcing plumes of water high into the air like geysers. The area also has hiking trails to explore and is home to a variety of endangered plants and animals, like loggerhead, green, and leatherback sea turtles. Click here to learn more about Blowing Rocks Preserve.
For dinner tonight, book a table at Ara, a chic restaurant in Jupiter with a globally inspired menu, great wine, and a sexy vibe. Then be sure to stop by Blackbird Modern Asian for an after-dinner drink or two. The ambience here alone is worth the visit, and their cocktails are top-notch. There’s always a crowd here, so it’s a fun place to cap off your Saturday night.
SUNDAY
Once you’ve checked out of your room, make a pit stop to see the historic Jupiter Lighthouse before you hit the road. The iconic structure built in 1860 is a must-visit when in town (just be sure to wear comfortable shoes so you can climb the 105 steps to the top and experience the breathtaking views). There’s also an onsite museum showcasing 5,000 years of local history.
