Flavor 2026: Are You In?
Last year, more than 100 local restaurants reaped the benefits of Flavor South Florida’s Restaurant Month. The sooner you sign up, the more time you have to get in on all the amazing opportunities!
Restaurant owners know, it’s never too early to start thinking about ways to keep their business thriving throughout the “slower” season—specifically, September, which is notoriously the slowest month of the year in the industry. And many will tell you, signing up to be a part of Flavor South Florida’s Restaurant Month is the best way to ensure a steady flow of customers in September. Last year, the program generated well over $2 million in economic activity, and many returning participating restaurants say their September Flavor menu sales doubled and even tripled over 2024.
“The numbers tell a powerful story,” says Flavor South Florid CEO Kerri Paizzi. “Filling seats during a traditionally slow season creates a ripple effect that benefits owners, employees, vendors, and the entire community.”
Participating in Restaurant Month is simple: All you have to do is offer a special, 3- or 4- course Flavor prix fixe menu throughout September at a special price. Flavor South Florida’s team handles the rest, including getting the word out via social media marketing campaigns, newsletters, branding, media dines, blog posts, and more. Our goal: to get diners in your doors all September long (and prior!).
Chef Jeremy Ford of The Butcher’s Club has been a part of Flavor South Florida for years and says the event is a savior when it comes to driving sales during the slow season. “Restaurants in South Florida usually see a huge decrease in sales in September, 40-50%,” Ford says. “Flavor really comes in as a huge component of restaurants surviving through the summertime.”
Paizzi has really upped the game at Flavor South Florida in recent years, hosting a slew of preview media and influencer dines in the spring and early summer leading up to Restaurant Month and a highly anticipated VIP Kickoff Party in August. Participating restaurants have various opportunities at these events, including hosting media dines, onsite branding and presence at the Kickoff Party, and more. She also launched the “Eat. Check. Repeat” contest in 2025, awarding fabulous prizes to locals who dined at the most participant restaurants during September.
To get the most out of Flavor South Florida’s Restaurant Month, Paizzi strongly advises restaurant owners reach out and sign up soon. More than a dozen local restaurants have already signed on for Flavor 2026, knowing that the early bird catches the worm! Branding and marketing events and campaigns launch in early spring, so the sooner you sign up the more opportunity there is for exposure before September.
